KANSAS CITY, MO (May 25, 2016) – Blue Rhino (www.BlueRhino.com) has teamed up with Operation BBQ Relief (www.OperationBBQRelief.org) to create special recipes for Memorial Day – the official opening of the grilling season and the second biggest grilling holiday after the Fourth of July – or any day of the year.
 
Blue Rhino, the number one brand in propane tank exchange, is a major sponsor of Operation BBQ Relief, a nonprofit disaster response team consisting of volunteers from competition barbecue teams who serve hot grilled meals to displaced families and emergency personnel in areas impacted by natural disasters.
 
The recipes are original and created by expert chefs who compete in grilling competitions around the country. They are adaptations of recipes used at deployment sites. “We feed people in disaster areas and that includes our own volunteers before we get out there and take care of everyone else,” said David Marks, COO, Operation BBQ Relief.
 
Before grilling up these delicious recipes for family and friends, be sure to have a fresh, ready-to-grill propane tank on hand if using a gas grill. Partnering to Feed the Displaced
