IMPORTANT NOTICE – DELIVERY FEE
Since 2020, there have been several world events that have caused volatility in the energy markets and produced sudden spikes in the cost of transporting goods. As a Direct-Store Delivery (DSD) company, Blue Rhino is particularly impacted when fuel costs rise suddenly above historical averages.
As a result, Blue Rhino has implemented a delivery fee program to cover a portion of these added costs. As outlined in the chart below, this delivery fee may be adjusted weekly as average diesel costs change.
We are mindful of the impact of program changes like this which is why we designed the program to minimize or eliminate this extra expense when fuel prices return to historical averages. As always, we will continue working to ensure our service to you remains the best in the industry.

Q. Where can I see the delivery fee charged to my store?
A. This delivery fee will appear on the ticket Blue Rhino drivers leave at your store upon delivery. If you do not typically interact with your driver during delivery, the fee will also appear on any invoice you may receive. You can also see the latest delivery fee on this web page.
Q. When was this delivery fee effective?
A. April 26, 2022.
Q. Why are you charging a delivery fee?
A. This delivery fee became necessary after world events resulted in volatile diesel and transportation labor costs. Blue Rhino was absorbing these increases, which were not included in recent price increases for our program.
Q. You just raised my price, why are you now charging me more money?
A. Price increases that have been instituted did not take into account sharply rising diesel fuel and transportation labor costs, both of which have been extremely volatile lately due to recent world events. Diesel and labor costs come into play around the distribution and delivery of Blue Rhino propane tanks to your location(s).
Q. How is this fee calculated?
A. This delivery fee is based on a formula that incorporates the national average of diesel fuel, as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, and costs associated with transportation labor. This fee will adjust weekly as these agencies report updates.

A. We will review the need for this fee on an ongoing basis and announce any updates on this webpage.
