Our Favorite Green Foods to Grill

It’s St. Patrick’s Day, which means it’s time to brush up on your grilling skills! Especially when grilling those healthy greens. Yes, you heard that right, it’s time to switch things up and grill your favorite fruits and vegetables in no time at all! Enjoy a crunchy taste to some of the best tasting greens out there.

We have a variety of healthy green options. One of our personal favorites is the grilled brussels sprouts. Also discussed below are other fun green grilling recipes such as the okra, bacon wrapped asparagus, zucchini, and avocados.

Grilled Brussels Sprouts

This beautiful green is just begging to be cooked on the grill! After a few quick steps, the sprouts need just five minutes or less of grill time on each side. Love parmesan cheese? Add this for a little something extra! Then, serve up and enjoy the crispy goodness.

Grilled Okra

Health is certainly a theme between these delicious food options. And this okra recipe is no different, possibly rivaling any option as the healthiest, thanks to its great source of fiber, vitamin C, among plenty of other health benefits. To get that tender and crisp flavor you’re looking for, add canola oil, garlic powder, black pepper and salt, and then grill for 5-10 minutes.

Grilled Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

You can never go wrong with bacon, and the combination of asparagus makes this an irresistible combo! This recipe, which calls for 10 bacon strips and 20 fresh asparagus spears, is sure to make your taste buds go crazy!

Grilled Zucchini

This “mostly” green fruit is both super healthy and super delicious! The grilled zucchini, which can be yellow at times, totals four servings and takes around half an hour to prepare. It’s loaded with Vitamin C and can be good for your heart, too. And who doesn’t love that?

Grilled Avocados (Courtesy: Bull Outdoor Products)

If you’re looking for a superfood, look no further than the grilled avocado! This high fiber fruit is known for its versatility in terms of health benefits. It’s an option that can provide benefits to weight loss, protection from disease and infection, and healthier skin, just to name a few. This specific avocado recipe serves four in less than 30 minutes!
