Ingredients:
Beef or Veal Marrow Bones, cut lengthwise (2 whole bones)
Parsley, chopped
Garlic Cloves, minced
Olive Oil
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Optional:
• Grated Parmesan Cheese, to taste
• Sourdough Bread, if desired (serving)
• Sea Salt, if desired (serving)
• Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice, if desired (serving)
Additional Items:
• Large Bowl/Container (for soaking bones)
• Small Bowl
• Tongs
Directions:
Soak marrow bones in a large bowl filled with cold water for at least 1 hour.
Note: this will remove any blood and/or impurities.
Preheat grill to medium-high, and set for
indirect grilling
.
In a medium bowl, mix together oilive oil, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Remove marrow bones from the water and pat dry.
Spread the mixture over the top of the beef marrow. If desired, sprinkle gated parmesan cheese over the top.
Place the marrow bones, cut side up, on the cooking grates on the indirect side.
Grill for 10 - 15 minutes, until the marrow begins to simmer.
Carefully remove the marrow bones and place on a plate.
Serve and enjoy.
Note: If desired, before serving you can top with sprinkle of sea salt, fresh squeezed lemon juice and/or sourdough bread.
