Ingredients:
White Bread
Butter
Eggs
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Additional Items:
• Large Nonstick Skillet
• Griddle Topper (if using a grill)
Directions:
Using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass, press a hole in the center of each slice of bread. Create an additional small opening to resemble a mouth.
Preheat gas griddle to medium heat.
If using a grill, preheat the griddle topper on the grill.
Melt butter on surface area and spread.
Once the butter is all spread out, place the slices of bread in the skillet and crack the eggs straight into the center of the holes.
Cook until the eggs set on the bottom, about 30-45 seconds. Sprinkle the eggs with salt and pepper.
After about 1 minute, flip over with a spatula and salt and pepper the other sides.
Move the pieces of toast around to soak up the remaining butter.
Let them cook until the yolks feel soft.
Remove from heat and serve.
