Grilled Mushroom Swiss Burger

Directions:

1. Preheat grill to medium-high.
2. Create 4 evenly sized ground beef patties and season each with salt and pepper.
3. Use the grill's side burner to heat a skillet to medium temperature. (Or, place the skillet on the cooking grid directly above the flame.) Add 3 tbsp of butter to the skillet and melt.
4. Add mushrooms to the buttered pan and cook for 5 minutes, stiring frequently.
5. Add onions, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until onions are caramelized.
6. Remove skillet and set aside.
7. Place second skillet on grill grill's side burner, or place on the cooking grid directly above the flame, heat a skillet to medium heat. Add 2 tbsp of butter and melt.
8. Place hamburger buns, open-side down, in the skillet. Cook for about 2 minutes, untill toasted.
9. Remove and set aside.
10. Place burgers on the grill, and grill for 6 - 8 minutes each side.
11. Toward the end of the grilling time, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and let melt.
12. Remove the burgers from the grill and place the buns.
13. Top with the sautéed mushrooms and onions.
14. Add any additional desired condiments.
15. Serve and enjoy!
