Ingredients:
Russet Potatoes
Extra-virgin Olive Oil
Kosher Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Optional Seasoning:
• Smoked Paprika, to taste
• Cayenne Pepper, to taste
• Garlic Powder, to taste
Additional Items:
• Large Bowl
• Ice Water
• Paper Towels
• Baking Sheet(s)
Directions:
Scrub the potatoes so they are clean.
Slice the potatoes so they are about 1/4 inch thick.
In a large bowl, add ice water and the potato slices.
Soak in the ice water for 20 minutes.
Preheat grill or griddle to medium-high heat.
Place a double layer of paper towels on the baking sheets.
Remove the potato slices from the ice water and place on the paper towels to dry.
Lightly coat the potato slices with olive oil.
Add kosher salt, pepper, and any other seasoning you like, such as garlic, cayenne pepper, or paprika. Coat well.
Flip the potato slices over and repeat step 9.
In a single layer, place potato slices on the cooking grid(s) or griddle.
Grill for about 3-8 minutes, or until golden brown.
Flip and grill for another 3-8 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the grill/griddle.
Serve and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
