Deep Fried Twinkies®

Directions:

1. Freeze Twinkies® for at least 2 hours or overnight.
2. Heat 4 cups of vegetable oil to 375°F in turkey fryer.
3. In a bowl, combine milk, vinegar and oil.
4. In a separate bowl, mix baking powder, flour and salt together.
5. Combine the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until smooth.
6. Place batter in fridge while oil is heating.
7. Sprinkle Twinkies with flour and dip them into the batter mixture, until covered completely.
8. Place Twinkies in fryer basket and lower the basket carefully into the hot oil.
9. Brown Twinkie 3 to 4 minutes.
10. Remove Twinkies from fryer basket and place them on a napkin to drain.
11. Let Twinkie cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Serving suggestions: Pair with melted Hershey’s chocolate or fruit compote for dipping.
