Ingredients:
Brioche Bread, cubed
Buttermilk
Eggs
Unsalted Butter, melted
Olive Oil
Granulated Sugar
Ground Cinnamon
Salt, to taste
Homemade Maple Syrup
, optional
Additional Items:
• Large Mixing Bowl
• Rimmed Baking Sheet (if using a grill)
• Cast Iron Griddle Topper (if using a grill)
Directions:
Cut Brioche bread into 1-inch cubes and spready evenly on a rimmed baking sheet. Set cubes aside to dry for at least 1 hour.
If using a grill: place cast-iron griddle on the cooking grid.
Preheat grill or griddle to medium.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Pour buttermilk mixture over bread cubes. Soak cubes no more than 5 minutes.
Lightly coat preheated cooking surface in olive oil and arrange cubes in an even layer.
Grill uncovered 5-8 minutes, turning often.
When all sides are golden brown, remove from heat.
Serve warm with
homemade maple syrup
and a side of crispy bacon or fresh fruit!
