Ingredients: Brine:; 1 qt Water; 3 tbsp Salt; 3 cloves Garlic; 1 stalk Lemongrass sliced; 3 cm Ginger, sliced; 1/2 tsp 5 spice powder; 1 1/2 lb “Flanken cut” short ribs; Grilling Sauce:; 5 tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce Kecap Manis; 5 tbsp Honey; 3 cloves Garlic, grated; 2 tsp Ginger, grated; 1 tbsp Chili powder; 1 tbsp Oyster sauce; 1 tsp White pepper; 2 tbsp Tomato puree; 1 tbsp Soy sauce; 3 tbsp Apple cider vinegar; 2 tbsp Oil; Garnish:; 1 tbsp Green onions, sliced

Ingredients:

Brine:

1 qt	Water
3 tbsp	Salt
3 cloves	Garlic
1 stalk	Lemongrass, sliced
3 cm	Ginger, sliced
1/2 tsp	5 Spice Powder
1 1/2 lb	Flanken cut” short ribs

Grilling Sauce:

5 tbsp	Sweet Soy Sauce Kecap Manis
5 tbsp	Honey
3 cloves	Garlic, grated
2 tsp	Ginger, grated
1 tbsp	Chili Powder
1 tbsp	Oyster Sauce
1 tsp	White Pepper
2 tbsp	Tomato Puree
1 tbsp	Soy Sauce
3 tbsp	Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tbsp	Oil

Garnish:

1 tbsp

Green Onions, sliced

Directions:

Mix the brine ingredients in a large bowl, submerge the short ribs in the brine for 2 hours.
While the short ribs are in the brine, mix all of the ingredients for the grilling sauce in a separate bowl and mix well.
Preheat your grill to 350°F.
Remove the ribs from the brine and pat dry with a paper towel. Coat both sides of the ribs with grilling sauce.
Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side. The grilling sauce will begin to caramelize.
Remove the ribs from the grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with sliced green onions.
Serve and enjoy.
