Crispy Muffuletta Sandwich

Directions:

1. If using a grill, place griddle topper on the cooking grids.
2. Preheat grill or griddle to medium-high.
3. Place bread on the cutting board. Slice the bread in half, horizontally.
4. Remove some of the bread from the top slice.
5. Spread butter on the inside of the top and bottom halves of the loaf of bread.
6. Place bread, butter side down, on the griddle topper. Press down and slightly adjust to ensure the bread will be toasted.
7. Grill for about 1 minute, or until golden brown.
8. Remove the bread and place on the cutting board, toasted side up.
9. Spread evenly the giardiniera on the bottom half.
10. Add Swiss cheese over the giardiniera.
11. Fold the mortadella in half and spread out over the Swiss cheese.
12. Place the black olives on top of the capicola and press firmly.
13. Add provolone cheese, then roasted red pepper, and the sopresatta.
14. Place the top half of the bread onto the sandwich.
15. Place the sandwich on the griddle topper.
16. Grill for about a minute, then flip.
17. Grill for another minute, or until sides are crispy.
18. Once done to desired crispness, remove from the grill.
19. Inter the bamboo skewers into the quarters of the sandwich.
20. Cut the sandwich into quarters.
21. Place onto the plate, serve and enjoy.
